Aug 10, 2022: Patience is needed

Nothing helps, I have to be patient - the torn muscle fiber in my thigh needs a few more weeks. So until I'm allowed to get back in the saddle, I'll put more emphasis on my role as a trainer. And it definitely is a pleasure watching my team perform!

Just this weekend, Katharina won an M* dressage with Escobar in Rietberg-Mastholte and an S* dressage with De Royal.

Our trainee Anna won the bronze medal with Goldberg at the Westphalian Championships for Young Riders. She has only been riding the stallion since the beginning of the year, and this is a really nice success for both of them.

And last but not least, my student Anush showed a really nice Grand Prix at the World Championships in Herning. Maybe it was a bit unfortunate that they had to enter the arena as the third pair, because in my eyes a slightly higher score around 68 percent would have been justified, too. Yes, they had a major misunderstanding in the zigzag half-pass and a mistake in a piaffe, but basically it was a really good performance. The two earned many compliments!

I will now use the coming weeks to train my team more intensively - sitting in the corner of the arena I have to concentrate less on myself than in the saddle. So that should bring us further forward, and in mid-September I will be allowed to mount again myself. Until then, my horses will be moved by my really strong riding staff, and I am looking forward to getting back on the horse.
